Lifeguard Class Information

The Village of Bradner will be looking for Lifeguards and a Pool Manager for this Summer 2018. Here is some information regarding upcoming lifeguard classes in the area:

SCHEDULE: March 9, 10 & 11
                         March 17 & 18
                         Swimmers CANNOT miss a single class.
COST: Non-members $250
Members $225
Swimmers must be the following criteria:
Swim 8 continuous lengths of the pool head up using either front crawl or breast stroke (no stopping to rest). Immediately following the lengths must be able to swim from the shallow end to the deep end and surface dive in 10 feet of water, recover a 12 lb. brick and return it to the shallow end while resting the brick on your chest holding it with both hands and using only a kick to return to the shallow end and must be accomplished in one minute and 40 seconds. There will be a combined professional CPR, AED and First Aid class that you must be able to physically pass.
 
 
Completing a class will get you CPR/AED/First Aid certified. The certificates are valid for 2 years.
 
The Village of Bradner is accepting applications for a Pool Manager and Lifeguards for the Bradner Community Pool. Positions require Red Cross Lifeguard First Aid and CPR certification. The minimum age is 16. Lifeguard experience is preferred for Pool Manager.
The Village does offer a reimbursement for up to 4 lifeguards per year to obtain their certification to qualify them as a lifeguard. The certification is limited to the first 4 lifeguards that complete certification and remain employed as a lifeguard at the Village pool through the end of the season. Reimbursement is for fees actually paid for the training and shall be reimbursed with the employee’s final paycheck after the pool closes for the season. Proof of payment of fees must be submitted to the Village. Application forms may be obtained at the Village Hall, 130 N. Main St., Bradner, Ohio or on the Village website at www.bradnerohio.org.

January Meeting Date Changes!!!

The Village of Bradner Board of Public Affairs regularly scheduled meeting for Monday, January 2nd  has been moved to Monday, January 9th. The regularly scheduled meeting for Monday, January 16th has been moved to Monday, January 23rd.

Leaf Pickup Has Started!

It is every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Please make sure that you are putting out leaves ONLY, no branches or twigs as these will clog the hose. Please pile them out next to the street, NOT in the street.

Wood For Sale

NOTICE TO BIDDERS

 

The Village of Bradner is accepting sealed bids for a pile of wood until noon on November 3, 2016, in the Fiscal Officer’s Office at the Bradner Village Hall, 130 N. Main Street, PO Box 599, Bradner, OH 43406. The bid opening will be November 3, 2016 at the Village Council meeting at 7pm. You will be able to raise your bid at the time of opening.

 

The wood pile can be seen between the hours of 7:30am and 4pm, Monday through Friday, at the lagoons. Please contact the Village Hall at (419) 288-2890 to schedule.

 

The wood pile will have to be cleaned up within 15 days of the bid acceptance and between the hours of 7:30am and 4pm, Monday through Friday. You must have a way to load and haul the wood yourself.
