ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed proposals marked for “LIGHT PLANT MAINTENANCE BUILDING ROOF PROJECT”
will be received by the Village of Bradner, Ohio, at the Office of the Fiscal Officer, at 130 Main
Street, P.O. Box 599, Bradner, Ohio 43406, until 5:00 p.m., local time, on April 12, 2019, and then
publicly opened and read aloud on April 15, 2019 at 7:00 p.m.
In general, the work for “LIGHT PLANT MAINTENANCE BUILDING ROOF” consists of the
replacing the roof on the Light Plant Maintenance Building, located at 201 Plin Street, Bradner,
Ohio. The bid shall be submitted according to the specifications in the bid packet and available
from the Village of Bradner Fiscal Officer.
All bids shall be signed, submitted, and enclosed in a sealed envelope marked – “LIGHT PLANT
MAINTENANCE BUILDING ROOF PROJECT.”
Bids received after the scheduled bid opening date and time will neither be read nor considered
and will be returned unopened to the bidder.
The Village of Bradner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularity in
any bid, to determine the lowest and best bidder, and to waive any informalities in bidding.
The bid guaranty may be of two forms:
1. A Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond using the form in the bid packet. (The amount of the bid
does NOT have to appear on this form.)
2. A certified check, cashier’s check or letter of credit in favor of the Village of Bradner in the
amount of 10% of the bid. If the contract is awarded, a Contract Bond will be required,
which is a 100% payment and performance bond.
Upon acceptance of the work, a one year maintenance bond in the amount of twenty-five percent
(25%) of the contract will be required to guarantee such work.
No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the scheduled closing time
for the receipt of bids.
All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable, use
Ohio products, materials, services, and labor in the implantation of their project. Additionally,
contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio
Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor’s Executive Order of 1972, and Governor’s
Executive Order 84-9 shall be required.
Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on public improvements in Wood County
and the Village of Bradner, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services,
Wage and Hour Division.
